By the Great Round Moon We Unite
06:18Mid-autumn Festival, one of the Chinese traditional festival was brought to life by students of Kedah Matriculation College (KMK). The event was held from 10a.m. to 7p.m. at the hall. Several activities were held on that day so that the multiracial KMK students can understand the Chinese culture. This will indirectly increase understanding, friendship and unity among the students.
There were exhibition on topics such as legends and history of Mid-autumn Festival, the signature moon cake and chinese calligraphy. Station games inspired by the chinese culture, such as ‘Chopsticks’, ‘Fifteen of August’ and ‘English Riddles’ facilitated by chinese students were enjoyed by KMK students. Those who joined in the games also participated in the lucky draw.
Other than that, there was also a ‘DIY Lantern Production’ where students get to experience on how to make lanterns. There were also photo booths and t-shirts sale. Moon cakes and chinese knots were also on sale. The highlight of the festival, the drama ‘Chang E fly to the moon’ were presented by the chinese students. Lastly, the lucky draw session sums up the festival. All in all, Mid-autumn Festival was a success and was enjoyed by all.
